Description
The training will consist of 2.5 days; on January 28-29 2009 the hours will be 0830 to 1530 and on January 30th the hours will be 0830-1200. this will take place in Salem. I can type a formal scope of work memo if you need me to. In any case The scope of work will be as follows: Contractor will design, develop, and deliver a two and one-half day (0830 -1530 on January 28 and 29 and 0830-1200 on January 30, 2009) course to enhance the facilitation skills of Oregon Military Department staff (up to 30 participants) in Salem Oregon at a training facility provided by the agency. Through the use of idea generation techniques, assessments, simulations, discussions, and exercises, participants will broaden their knowledge and skills base in group dynamics, decision-making and problem-solving techniques, managing conflict, intervention, communication and presentation skills. Increase their understanding and practice of effective facilitation. Incorporate interpersonal communication skills taking into account group dynamics and preferred communication styles to maximize positive interactions, ownership, and results. Promote effective meeting practices by identifying the appropriate time for and use of creative decision-making and problem-solving techniques (consensus, brainstorming, Force Field analysis and Fish-Bone Analysis). Prepare, plan and conduct meetings utilizing proven techniques and tools (agendas, guidelines, etc.) and practice the use of tools in a short meeting. Learn intervention tools and strategies to increase positive interactions. Receive basic presentation tips including the practical use of media and articulation of core delivery skills.
