- Notice of Intent - Sole Source SYNOPSIS: This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source Consignment Agreement with Abbott Vascular for: Fox SV Balloon Catheter 0.018 - 2.5mm x 40mm,1 ea; 2.5mm x 60mm, 1 ea; 3mm x 30mm, 1 ea; 3mm x 60mm, 1 ea; 3.5mm x 30mm, 1 ea; 4mm x 30mm, 1 ea; 4mm x 60mm, 1 ea, 4mm x 80mm, 1 ea; 5mm x 60mm 1 ea. Xpert OTW Self Expanding Stent: 4mm x 20mm, 2 ea; 4mm x 40mm, 2 ea; 4mm x 60mm, 2 ea. Abbott Vascular provides the stents and balloons in various sizes and quantities to be readily accessible for placement in the Department of Veterans Affairs facilities within the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center Wade Park Division (VISN) 10. Period of performance is from date of award thru 9/30/2013. This procurement is being conducted under Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulation Subpart 870.108-3, Consignment Agreement in conjunction with Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113 and the Small Business Size Standard (SIC) is 500 employees. This requirement will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the product. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within five days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center will proceed with the intended consignment agreement. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted.
