Description
Notice of Intent: Sole Source The 10 th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, intends to award a Sole Source Commercial Contract to MTS Systems Corporation, 14000 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, Mn 55344-2290 who is a large business. The requirement is to purchase an assured maintenance plan. The services of the plan needs to include an extended warrenty coverage of all equipment in the event of equipment failure, calibration of all load cells and LVDTs, and annual preventive maintenance on frames and pump. The plan needs to cover the following equipment items: 1 - 220 Kip test frame and components 1 - 110 Kip test frame and components 3 - 55 Kip test frames and components 2 - 20 Kip test frames and components 1 - 11 Kip test frames and components 1 - 10 Kip test frame and components 1 - 220 Kip test frame and components 3 - Test Star Iim controllers 1 - Model 505.90 hydraulic pump All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 10MSG/LGCB. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Any company that feels they have items that meet the needs of the Government must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim no later than 16 Oct 2008. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
