Description
The contractor will be responsible for and shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to replace existing 1 ton cooling unit with a 5 ton water source, package unit that operates from and is connected to the glycol system at the Robert Denney Federal Building, 100 Centennial Mall North, Lincoln, NE. Once existing unit is removed, new unit is to be installed in same location and fastened to substrate with additional reinforcement as needed. Replace existing glycol lines with M type hard copper lines sized to service new unit as recommended by manufacture taking into consideration distance of unit from main glycol line. If part or all of glycol system is drained during replacement, additional glycol must be added to top off system (type specific to what is in system). Lines are to be insulated and fastened to substrate as required. Provide the manufacture recommendations to feed from panel LAN-CA. Create a soffit and drop ceiling in Room 140 to allow clearance for new unit and duct work as outlined on print. Design routing to add an additional 2 by 2 supply diffuser in Room 543 for a total of 2 supplies and 1 return connected to new unit and balanced to provide best cooling situation. Path of existing ducts may need to be changed or altered to accommodate the new unit. Provide a sensor in Room 543 and all controls (compatible with EMS) to operate/monitor new unit from building EMS system. Replace condensate pump in tray and connect to existing line. Use or replace existing condensate tray to accommodate newly installed unit. Sized, including a ridge to prevent any type of leakage. The contractor will have 60 days from the Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Estimated price range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The contractor will be required to obtain GSA security clearance for all individuals working on site.
