Description
The Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Contracting Center plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP), W31P4Q-09-R-0002 on or about November 3, 2008. Proposals shall be submitted no later than the closing date of January 5, 2009. Issuance of RFP W31P4Q-09-R-0002 is for a full and open competition for an Integration and Demonstration Phase for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) Alternative Warhead Program (AWP). The AWP shall provide as the material replacement for the Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions (DPICM) warheads that are currently present in the GMLRS M-30 rockets. Firm-Fixed Price Contracts are anticipated for the Integration and Demonstration Phase. A contract shall be awarded to two (2) offerors as a result of this RFP. The Integration and Demonstration Phase will be approximately sixteen (16) months. After the Integration and Demonstration phase, a down-select to one (1) offeror will be made to enter into the Engineering and Manufacturing Development and Demonstration (EMDD) follow-on phase as a directed subcontractor to the GMLRS prime contractor. The EMDD follow-on phase will be accomplished under a separate solicitation.
