- The Defense Logistics Agency Document Automation and Production Service (DLA-DAPS) intends to award a contract on a non-competitive basis for the relocation and installation of a Xerox Nuvera 120DT High Speed, High Volume copier from DAPS Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois to U.S. Marine Corp Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to Xerox Corporation, 800 Carillon Parkway, St. Petersburg, FL 33716. Specifically, FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), states, agency’s minimum needs can only be satisfied by -- Unique supplies or services available from only one source or only one supplier with unique capabilities. Xerox is the sole manufacturer of this machine and is the only source of certain parts and accessories that may be necessary during reinstallation. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. Responses to this electronic notice must be made by 5:00 PM on October 20, 2008. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
