- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. This is a requirement for the 5.56MM (M855) ball ammunition, and linking. This action will include Government Furnished 5.56MM Dim Trace Ammunition that will be linked into the belts. The Government intends to procure minimum quantity of $750,000.00 worth of ammunition at time of award and a Maximum Quantity (in addition to the minimum quantity) of $4,250,000.00 worth of ammunition can be purchased over the 5 year life of the contract. This ammunition shall be manufactured In accordance with Government Specifications and drawings. The specifications and drawings will be included in the solicitation when issued. Military packaging shall be required for these components. A single award of a firm-fixed price, 5-year, IDIQ contract is anticipated. Delivery of the quantities ordered shall be required within 4 months after issuance of order, and shall be FOB destination. The anticipated delivery locations are several locations within the continental United States. Inspec! tion and acceptance will be at source. A safety survey will be required prior to award of the contract to ensure contractor compliance with the requirements of DFARS 252.223-7002 and 252.223-7003. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet @ www.ccr.gov. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The solicitation will be available on or about 13 November 2008 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
