- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a Turn-key Controllable Resin Injection Pump.This requirement has the following specifications:General Vendor Requirements: -Vendor shall provide applicable GFE/GSE and/or Dunn-Bradstreet procurementidentification numbers.-Quote shall address all items in this specification. Non-conforming items shall belisted in the quote to what the non-conformance is and what is recommended.Specific Equipment Requirements:- Resin Injection Pump shall be controllable for flow with over pressure limits.-The system shall pump 2 components a resin and a hardener/catalyst. Pump shall bedouble displacement double acting.-Resin pump shall be 100cc min.-Hardener pump shall be 25cc min.-System shall have mixer and mix between adjustable ratios of 1 to 20.-System shall have on board 5 gallon stainless steel solvent with variable solvent purgeamounts.-System shall have low mix wastage.-System shall have dual inline PID controlled heaters.-System shall have automatic flush and automatic recirculation.-System shall have servo drive powered by a pneumatic cylinder for the pumping systems.-Flow meters for both resin and hardener.-System shall be enclosed in nema metal powder coated enclosure with latching doors. System shall still be accessible by removing cabinet doors.Safety Requirements:-Equipment shall be guarded to meet the requirements of current OSHA standards.-All heated areas over 150F shall be guarded.-Vendor shall provide a list of equipment safety features.Controller Requirements:-Controller specifications shall be provided by vendor.-Closed loop PID control of injection flow rate with pressure limit governor.-Programmable PID controlled Resin and Hardener temperature control.-Process data collection system with integrated laptop. Data collection shall include:part identification, time of injection, resin ratio, resin temperature, resin injectionpressure, rate of injection, part sequential number, dwell time per injection cycles,total resin used for inventory usage on all moldings.Software Requirements:-Windows XP-Software needed for the computer to interface with the press plc/datalogger.-Computer software shall be able to report cycle runs, monitor current cycle runs, andstore historical cycle runs.Utility Requirements: -Electrical requirements to be provided by vendor not to exceed 400v.-Shop air at 120 psi will be provided.-Vendor shall list any additional utilities required.-All utilities will have one common connection to the supplied equipment.Documentation:-One users manual shall be provided paper copy and one on CD. -Planned maintenance schedule to be provided.Testing and Debugging:-Vendor shall provide 1 working week for setup and training for operators.-Vendor shall provide debugging of components, and software as required for equipmentrun-off and buy-off.Spare Parts: -Vendor shall provide a spare parts list including quotes as a separate line item(s) tothis quote.Post Commissioning Adjustments:-Vendor shall provide all adjustments for 1 year.Warrantee:-Vendor shall warrantee equipment from manufactures defects 1 year date of receipt.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation,which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQsystem to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may beaccessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their quotes, capabilities, and qualifications toperform the effort in writing to Jasmine.N.Jett@nasa.gov no later than 4:30 PM on10/30/2008 Eastern Time. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing toJasmine.N.Jett@nasa.gov no later than 4:30 PM on 10/24/2008 Eastern Time. It is thequoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, theon-line RFQ and amendments (if any).
