Description
SOURCES SOUGHT - The Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 23 Contracting Office has a requirement for Human Blood and Blood Products for use by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers located in Minneapolis, MN, and St. Cloud, MN. The FSC Code is 6506 and the NAICS Code is 621991 and the small business size standard is $9.0 million. The anticipated term of an awarded contract would be April 1, 2009 through March 31, 2010 with one 12-month option to renew. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be awarded. The estimated requirements include 6200 units/year Red Blood Cells - Leukocyte Reduced; 1400 units/ year Platelets-Apheresis-Leukocyte Reduced; 2400 units/ year Plasma - Frozen <24hours; 100 units/ year Plasma Cryoreduced; 16 units/year Cryoprecipitated AHF; 60 units/year Cryprecipitated AHF Pooled; plus miscellaneous blood products as required. The requirement also includes services of 800 Irradiation of red blood cell and Apheresis platelets; and 500 Red Cell Antigen Screens and Antigen Typings. The Contractor must be able to provide two scheduled daily deliveries Monday through Friday for the VAMC's requirements for Human Blood and Blood Products as well as provide blood on an as needed basis to include emergency deliveries. Emergency deliveries shall be made within 60 minutes of notification of need. All responsible sources having the ability to meet these requirements and provide products as listed above to the VA Medical Centers in Minneapolis MN and St.Cloud, MN should respond to this "Sources Sought" announcement by 3:30 PM CST, November 4, 2008.
