- Description
- This is SOLE SOURCE procurement of field services for shipboard repairs/testing of Hydra AN/SRC-55 (V) UHF Radio Communication System from Tyco Electronics. The company has proprietary rights for the item or service being procured. Equipment requiring servicing includes Master III Units, GE Trunking Cards, 20-watt Orion Power Amps, Duplexer, Channel Combine Modules, Multi-coupler and Mast Antenna and HELIAX (RTL). The required Period of Performance is 18 November through 27 December 2008. This requirement will be solicited as Sole Source under NAICS Code 336611 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Telephonic requests for the solicitation resulting from this notice will not be accepted. Only written (fax or email) requests will be accepted. Fax number is 619 553-0144 or e-mail to mary.ablola@navy.mil. All requests must provide Duns & Bradstreet number and CAGE Code. All faxed requests must include an email address. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 17 October 2008. The closing date of the solicitation is 21 October 2008. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12. This requirement will be negotiated on other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1) with Tyco Electronics, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received on time will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
