Description
Sources Sought Notice (Market Survey) US Army ARDEC, AMSCC-JML-JA, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 Response Date: November 20, 2008 The U.S. Army, ARDEC Munitions Engineering and Technology Center located at Picatinny, NJ is conducting a Market Survey to identify a source to support all of the following research and development initiatives: Range sustainment, including the management of training range heavy metals using an advanced hybrid approach to soil washing; amendments to soils to promote immobilization of heavy metals; management of mixed heavy metals in soils; compaction mediums to control dust at training sites; and treatments to prevent the migration of heavy metals and explosives in hand grenade range soils. Focus areas are to include the development of safe, flexible, environmentally friendly alternative training technologies, such as modular, reconfigurable, armored tactical training structures. Other focus areas are to include the demonstration, testing and adaptation of prototype/commercially available fixed and mobile systems that will locate, pre-treat, dispose, recycle, and demilitarize training ordnance, energetic and/or range related materials, munitions, and potentially other organic wastes. Interested firms, who feel they are capable of adequately addressing all of the above research areas, are invited to indicate their interest by providing to the U.S. Army a brief summary of their companys capabilities. Interested firms shall provide the name, address, telephone number and email address of the point of contact(s). Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interests by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical. All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government by November 20, 2008 to the US Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center, ATTN: Jeremy Phillips, AMSCC-JML-JA, Bldg 10 Picatinny, NJ 07866- 5000, email jeremy.phillips6@us.army.mil. This is a market survey for information only and shall not be construed as a request for a proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
