- The VA Network 22 Logistic Office intends to negotiate a sole source procurement (VA 664-09-1-9145-0013) in accordance with Far Part 13 with MRI Keck Imaging Center at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under authority of Far 6.302-1. This procurement is for services with MRI Keck Imaging Center at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) for blood-oxygen level dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-FMRI) technology. The state of the art system at the MRI Keck Imaging Center, UCSD is the only system in the local area that will meet the requirements of an existing research project. The Department of Veterans Affairs, San Diego Healthcare System requires that UCSD MRI facility is sole vendor of blood-oxygen level dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-FMRI) technology. BOLD-FMRI technology requires the use of high field strength Magnetics Resonance imaging facilities. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. The Government will consider all quotes received by 12:00 PM, October 27, 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
