- Description
- The Regional Contracting Office - Seckenheim intents to procure Vacuum Film for bone-in and boneless fresh un-cooked beef and pork items that will maintain a shelf life on the product of at least nine days for steaks and roasts. The film must be well suited to run on the tiromat automatic vacuum wrapping machine, which operates in a temperature environment of 2-7 degrees Celsius. The vacuum film width, running meter and Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol (EVOH) must meet the specification stated. The thickness of the vacuum film may vary as long as it is equal to or better than the current film being used which must meet the puncture resistance and barriers needed for present shelf life sell by dates of nine and twelve respectively. The solicitation will include four line items (CLINS): 0001 Top film, boneless, used for vacuum wrapping, fresh un-cooked beef and pork products; 0002 Bottom film, boneless,used for vacuum wrapping fresh un-cooked beef and pork products; 0003 Top film, bone in, used for vacuum wrapping fresh un-cooked beef and pork products; 0004 Bottom film, used for vacuum wrapping fresh un-cooked beef and pork products. This will be a combine synopsis/solicitation requirement in lieu of a solicitation. The posting date will change from on or about 2 October 2008 to: on or about 23 Oct 2008.
