- PR Number(s): FD20300980574 & 08-70614Item: 0001NSN: 6685015230235PRPR PYROMETERP/N: 1960M40P09, Description: ITEM dimensions: Approximately 3.160 inches nominaloverall length X 19.175 inches minimim and 19.211 inches maximum.Material content: Glass, Silicone, Aluminun, and Electronic components.Item description and function: Item is an infrared radiation sensingdevice mounted on the engine outer bypass duct between the 4:00 and 5:00positions and protrudes through the bypass duct, fan stream, outerturbine fairing and into the LPT nozzle. The objective lens is aimed atthe aft sidce of the HPT blades. It optically scans a portion of theindividual hpt blades as the blades rotate through the items opticaltube viewing path. The infrared emission detected then combines with anarrow band spectral response of the items electronic package to producean output that is an exponential of turbine blade temperature and istransmitted to the engine control. To: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for whichthe Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or alimited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interestedpersons may identify their interest and capability to respond to therequirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a requestfor competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fortyfive-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basicordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will beconsidered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not tocompete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice issolely within the discretion of the Government. Information receivedwill normally be considered solely for the purpose of determiningwhether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note(s) 26.
