Description
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to measure the interest and availability of other than large business firms, including HUBZone, 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) or other Small Business concerns. Read the project description and send a brief note of interest indicating your firms size and capability. Include your DUNS number and CCR CAGE code. Send this note as an email to scott.w.britt@usace.army.mil. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541370 with a size standard of $4.5 million. For information concerning SBA size standards and NAICS codes, go to www.sba.gov. This is not a synopsis, nor is it a solicitation. Seattle District requires the procurement of surveying and mapping services in accordance with PL 92-582 (Brooks Act) and FAR Part 36. An upcoming announcement will result in the selection of one or more firms for negotiation based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for the required work. See government-wide numbered notes 1 and 24. A-E services include surveying and mapping in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon. The contract will be a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with task orders. Each task order will have a specific scope of work. Specialized knowledge, expertise and past experience that would significantly benefit customers of the Seattle District is preferred. Surveying and mapping services are required to support the US Army Corps of Engineers civil works and military missions including the planning, design, and construction of water resource and military projects. Surveys will be required on public and private lands, US Army Corps of Engineers projects and military installations. Work under this contract can include, but not be limited to, any or all of the following: Photogrammetric mapping requirements which consist of aerial photography, analytical aerotriangulation, stereo mapping compilation, orthophotography, and land use/land cover interpretation; horizontal and vertical control networks for establishing grid coordinate systems; ground control for developing photogrammetric and LiDar maps; topographic mapping using total stations or GPS; detailed planimetric surveys; profile, cross section and road surveys; Real Estate boundary surveys of Government and some private owned land tracts which may be required to establish or reestablish corners, monuments and boundary lines for the purpose of describing, locating fixed improvements and/or encroachments along Government Lands and platting or dividing parcels; and Geographic Information System (GIS) services required under this contract may include the creation, implementation and management of Personal geodatabases. Firms shall be fully capable of furnishing survey data in graphic and ASCII files directly readable to Microstation latest version (*.dgn), Inroads, Bentley Corporation graphic systems, AutoCAD, latest version and GIS files into ESRI graphic systems (ArcGIS, Arcview, Arcinfo), latest version. Firms should be familiar and be able to accurately comply with the latest versions of the US Army Corps of Engineers SDSFIE Spatial Data Standards and the AEC CADD Standards. In addition, Metadata files are required for all Survey and GIS work performed within the Seattle District.
