- Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Synopsis: The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation "PBGC" intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis a performance-based contract for IT Sourcing Advisory Services. This contract will consist of multiple phases and deliverables: sourcing assessment of the current PBGC information technology infrastructure, assessment of options available to PBGC to transform its IT Infrastructure to an operating model to include cost and resource implications; a recommended future state; an implementation plan to transition to the future state; advice and counsel in developing the RFP to acquire the PBGC chosen future state; advice and counsel throughout the transition to and implementation of the future state. The successful contractor will work throughout the engagement collaboratively throughout with PBGC policy, program, technical, acquisition and legal staff and federal acquisition and performance-based expert team members. The solicitation document, including amendments, will be distributed though the www.fbo.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be available. The estimated date for release of this solicitation is 10-15 days after this notice and subsequent proposals in response to the solicitation will be due 30 days later.
