- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQ-10611-0001-09, for the provision of various bread products for the Federal Correctional Complex (Butner) located at Old North Carolina Hwy 75, Butner, North Carolina 27590. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 311812 (Size Standard: 500 employees). All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database under NAICS Code 311812. The contract period shall consist of a base period that extends from the effective date of award through 12 months. Estimated requirements include: 1) 155,000 - 20 oz sliced loaves of Whole Wheat Bread; 2) 25,000- 20 oz. sliced loaves of Italian Style Bread; 3) 550,000 - 2.0 oz Hamburger Buns; 4) 200,000 - 2.0 oz Hotdog Buns; 5) 300,000 - 2.25 oz Hoagie Style Buns; and 6) 500,000 - 1 oz Dinner Rolls. The solicitation will be available on/about November 18, 2008 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about December 18, 2008; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a full and open competitive procurement. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
