- The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma, Arizona has a Commercial Item Requirement, Firm Fixed Price for 30 Inch Diameter Modulating Continuous Duty Stainless Steel Side Gates. Request for Quotes No. 09SQ340032 will be issued for this requirement. The work to be performed under this requirement consists of providing four (two inlet gates and two outlet gates) 30 inch diameter modulating continuous duty slide gates and positioner. The manufacturer shall provide on site technical support for 2 days during the installation and 2 days during the commissioning. Provide a minimum of 2 hours of operator training during the commissioning of the gates and controls. Offeror's proposals shall include a complete and recommended itemized list on spare parts and breakdown drawings for use during the operation and maintenance of equipment. For this acquisition, the North American Industrial Classification System Code is 332911 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is a total Small Business Set-Aside. Large businesses are encouraged to submit quotes in the event that responsive small business quotes are not received. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about October 24, 2008 and the date and time for receipt of proposals will be on or about October 31, 2008, 4:00 p.m. local time, however all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The Solicitation will be issued via www.fedbizoppps.gov but the Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-Rom in the event the website becomes inoperable or if the Contracting officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Offerors should register on the website to be included on the offerors list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the website after October 24, 2008, in order to access the solicitation and any subsequent amendments and/or notices. Effective October 1, 1997, contractors are required to register their firms in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to receiving a contract award. This database provides basic business information, capabilities, and financial information to the Government and complies with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, which requires federal agencies to have the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) of every contractor and to pay every contractor through electronic funds transfer. Registration can be accomplished through the World Wide Web at http//www.ccr.gov. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
