Description

Please see attached Performance Work Statement for description of requirements. Offerors interested in submitting a response to this notice are requested to submit pricing as well as any information demonstrating capability, successful past performance for the same or similar requirements, and available equipment. Pending receipt of responses with pricing, capability, past performance, and equipment information, the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 with the Town of Newport, 7450 East Street Newport NY 13416-3600 for snowplowing services at the AFRL/RI Newport Test Site. These services are required to maintain safe access for site personnel at all times during the winter season. The Town of Newport maintains the town roads which lead to the site access roads. The Government requires service from 01 Nov 08 through 31 Oct 09, with four (4) subsequent one (1) year option periods. The majority of work will take place during the months of November through May each contract year. Though this notice of intent is not a formal request for competitive quotations, information received by the response date of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed service contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code for this procurement is 448490.
