Description
SCOPE OF WORK General: Unless otherwise noted, all services will be accomplished between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7 a.m. each day with the exception of Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays. The contractor shall, within five (5) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed or a written contract, furnish the contracting office, for approval, the proposed schedule for effecting all requirements of this contract. All items of work referred to in Item 3 “Frequency of Work” shall be accomplished at a satisfactory and acceptable level of competence. PERIOD OF PERFORAMCE is a Base Year with TWO (2) Option Years Areas to be Serviced: Building consists of approximately 1,685 square feet on the first floor and 1,980 on the second floor which includes three (3) lavatories, one (1) employee lounge and one (1) lunchroom. Cleaning of glass on the interior/exterior perimeter walls is not included in this contract. Frequency of Work: a.Three Times Weekly (Tues/Thurs/Weekend): 1.Offices/Conference Room: a.Empty all wastebaskets and other trash containers and insert new liners as needed. b.Sweep and/or dust mop all resilient tile floors. c.Dust all office furniture with damp cloth (no chemically treated cloths to be used) including, but not limited to desks, chairs, file cabinets, bookcases, window sills, picture frames, etc. d.Clean drinking fountains. e.Vacuum carpeted areas. f.Remove all cobwebs. 2.Employee lounge: a.Damp mop tile floors. b.Empty all trash containers and insert new plastic liners. c.Clean and wipe all tables, chairs, and couches in accordance with cleaning of upholstered furniture. 3.Stairways/Corridors/Entrances/Vestibules: a.Sweep and/or dust mop stairs. b.Dust all ledges, handrails, picture frames. Clean glass on picture frames. c.Damp mop to remove mud and/or salt accumulations, if present, at the entranceways. 4.Men’s and Women’s Restrooms: a.Clean and sanitize the restrooms, including urinals, commodes, lavatories, deep sinks, washbasins, showers, partitions and dispensers. b.Empty all wastebaskets and other trash containers and insert new liners as needed. c.Sweep and/or dust mop and wash all tile floors. d.Replenish all supplies, including but not limited to, hand soap, hand towels, toilet tissue. 5.Lunch Room: a. Damp mop tile floors. b. Empty all trash containers and insert new plastic liners. b.Weekly: 1. Employee lounge: a.Spray, machine buff all resilient tile floor areas. 2. Stairs/Corridors/Entrances/Vestibules: a.Spray, machine buff all resilient tile floor areas. 3. Men and Women’s Restroom: a.Spot clean walls and woodwork. b.Spray, machine buff all resilient tile floor areas. c.Wash all mirrors. d.Clean walls, floors, drains, soap holder and shower fixtures. e.Refill all paper towel and toilet paper dispensers. 4.Lunch Room: a. Spray, machine buff all resilient tile floor areas. c.Monthly: 1.Office/Conference Rooms: a.Spot clean walls and woodwork. b.Spot clean carpeted areas. c.Clean vertical blinds. d.Dust, using chemically treated cloth, all accessible radiators. e.Clean surface of fluorescent light panels. f.Hand vacuum upholstered chairs. g.Wash all glass areas, including door windows, not to include the interior or exterior side of any glass door or window on the outside perimeter of the building. 2.Employee Lounge: a.Spot clean walls and woodwork. b.Dust, using chemically treated cloth, all accessible radiators. c.Wash all glass areas, including door windows, not to include the interior or exterior side of any glass door or window on the outside perimeter of the building. 3.Stairways/Corridors/Entrances/Vestibules: a.Spot clean walls and woodwork. b.Dust, using chemically treated cloth, all accessible radiators. c.Wash stairway handrails. d.Wash all glass areas, including door windows, not to include the interior or exterior side of any glass door or window on the outside perimeter of the building. e.Clean interior and exterior glass door at main entrance to building. 4.Men and Women’s Restrooms: a.Dust, using chemically treated cloth, all accessible radiators. b.Wash all glass areas, including door windows, not to include the interior or exterior side of any glass door or window on the outside perimeter of the building. 5.Lunch Room: a.Spot clean walls and woodwork. b.Dust, using chemically treated cloth, all accessible radiators. c.Wash all glass areas, including door windows, not to include the interior or exterior side of any glass door or window on the outside perimeter of the building. d.Bi-Annually (April/October): 1.Office/Conference Rooms: a.Shampoo all carpeted areas. b.Shampoo upholstered chairs. e.Annually: 1.Office/Conference Rooms: a.Remove all wax from resilient tiled floors by stripping and re-wax. b.Wash inside and out all trash containers as needed. 2.Employee Lounge: a.Remove all wax from resilient tiled floors by stripping and re-wax. b.Wash inside and out all trash containers as needed. 3.Stairways/Corridors/Entrances/Vestibules: a.Remove all wax from resilient tiled floors by stripping and re-wax. 4.Lunch Room: a.Remove all wax from resilient tiled floors by stripping and re-wax. b.Wash inside and out all trash containers as needed. 5.Men and Women’s Restroom: a.Remove all wax from resilient tiled floors by stripping and re-wax. b.Wash inside and out all trash containers as needed. Government-Furnished Property: The Government will furnish all items of personal property to be used in the performance of this contract: hand soap, hand towels, toilet tissue, and all items to be used in Government dispensers. All other supplies, equipment or materials required in the performance of this contract, including but not limited to: scouring powders, waxes, and mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment shall be Contractor-furnished. Scope These specifications provide data for accomplishing, by contract, required custodial services. Included in the custodial services are janitorial and related services, consisting of waxing, polishing, sweeping and cleaning office furniture, walls, woodwork, exposed pipes, cleaning glass, rugs, radiators, air conditioning grilles, light fixtures, stairways, and trash removal from the buildings as specified herein. Government-Furnished Facilities – Storage areas and janitorial closets will be made available to the Contractor without cost for storing equipment and materials. The Contractor will be responsible for orderliness and cleanliness of these facilities, which are subject to Government inspection at all times. The Contractor will insure that unsanitary and hazardous conditions do not exist, or that such conditions will be immediately corrected upon notification.
