- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, supervision and equipment required to upgrade two (2) Base Decoders and a minimum of ninety five (95) fire alarm transmitters in use at various locations throughout the base and two spare transmitters in the Public Works warehouse. Transmitters and decoders shall be retrofitted to transmit or receive 138.2875 Megahertz frequency and shall meet new narrow band National Telecommunication and Information Administration requirements. Contractor furnished equipment shall be Factory Mutual approved and be labeled same. Replacement equipment shall be approved to be safe by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). Contractor shall verify the exact number of transmitters and contractor shall schedule all work with the contracting officer. Contracting officer shall schedule all work with NAS Fire Department and Public Works. Contractor shall verify that each of the transmitters call in, and decoders receiv! e a call in from, each of the transmitters in the field. All work shall be done in a workmanship-like manner and meet all applicable codes and standards. Contactor shall provide all the necessary equipment to verify to the contract surveillance that both transmitters and decoders are operating at 138.2875 Megahertz frequency and not varying more than (2) percent and operating in the narrow band-width 12.5 Khz. Contractor shall be responsible for any adjustments and troubleshooting of equipment.
