Description
Project 630A4-08-406 Dumbwaiter ReplacementThis notice is for project, '630A4-08-406, Dumbwaiter Replacement @ VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. This shall be a Service Disabled Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. The project falls under NAICS Code 238290, and has a Small Business Standard of 14 Million. The estimated price range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000, respectively. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to: -Provide all necessary labor and material to complete the Dumbwaiter Renovation Project at the New York Harbor Healthcare System-Brooklyn Campus -Provide and install new controllers, geared traction machines, selectors, conduit and wire way duct, conductors, traveling cables, car and counterweight buffers, hoist ropes, normal and final terminal stopping devices, car operating devices, car leveling devices, emergency stop switches, shunt trip circuit breakers, door operators, intercom system, hall position indicators and operating panels for Dumbwaiter #1 and Dumbwaiter #2. -All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications. -All work shall be done in accordance with the ANSI code for vertical transportation. -All debris shall be removed from the site. -Other details/information is in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fbo.gov The anticipated release date of the IFB is October 24, 2008 and the anticipated closing date is November 24, 2008 at 3:30pm EST. The bid submittal address and time is included in the solicitation. Bid submissions shall be in hardcopies and not e-mailed or faxed. This project requires the bidders/contractors to secure bonding. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and www.orca.bpn.gov Completion time is 400 calendar days from notice to proceed. A walkthrough/site visit for this project is scheduled for November 5th, 2008 at 10a.m. EST, at VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, 800 Poly Place, Building 4 (Engineering Service), Room G33, Brooklyn, NY, 11209. Contractors/Bidders are strongly urged to attend. Award is subject to availability of funding.
