- The purpose of this notice is to inform all parties that the United States Marine Corps Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni (MCASI), Japan, intends to purchase supplies and installation services for adjustable racking systems to be installed at Bays 701 and 702, Building 1007, MCASI. Installed systems must be capable of 2000 pounds or more per pallet uniformly distributed loads. This purchase will be made using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items under the authority of the Test Program for Commercial Items (FAR Part 12 and Subpart 13.5). This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is: 332999 with a small business size standard of 500, and a Federal Supply Class (FSC) Code of 7125. The proposed solicitation number is M62613-09-T-0001. Delivery of ordered supplies to MCASI must be made "Door to D! oor," with delivery of supplies to MCASI to take place within 60 days after contract award. Required installation schedule will be settled at a pre-installation meeting to take place after contract award. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Agreement Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. All offers shall be in the English language and priced in either U.S. dollars or Japanese yen. There will be an electronic solicitation only in.PDF format. No paper solicitations will be issued. The solicitation may be downloaded by visiting the electronic solicitation website at the following internet address (URL): http://www.iwakuni.usmc.mil (click Organization, Station, Contracting under Logistics, and then Solicitations). If the solicitation is not posted at this website o/a 10 November 2008, you may request e-mail notification of the date it is uploaded. Send your request by e-mail to the following address: jiro.m! aekawa.ja@usmc.mil. Because the solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto, the Government is unable to maintain an offerors' mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested party to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendment which may be issued. Failure to obtain any amendment and to respond prior to the date and time set for receipt of offerors may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. All responsible sources may submit quotes which will be considered by the agency.
