Description
The USCG Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for the following: 1) 4320-99-737-1258 Pump, Salt Water Terex-Pegson Part Number: 3C23T/102TC-Z Quantity: 5 each DESCRIPTIVE/SPEC DATA: -NEW TEREX-PEGSON SELF PRIMING SEAWATER PUMP MODEL 3 C 23 T FOR THE 110' WPB PAXMAN MAIN DIESEL ENGINE. -MATERIAL CERTIFICATIONS: MATERIAL CERTIFICATIONS SHALL BE SUBMITTED FOR ANY COMPONENTS DISIGNED TO BE EXPOSED TO CORROSIVE FLUIDS INCLUDING SALT WATER TO VALIDATE DESIGN COMPLIANCE AND SUITABILITY FOR INTENDED USE. REQUIREMENTS: -THE PUMP MANUFACTURE SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TEREX-PEGSON LTD SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS WHICH ARE PROPRIETARY TO TEREX-PEGSON LTD. -THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL A PUMP SHAFT WHICH IS MANUFACTURED FROM K-MONEL MATERIAL. -ALL PARTS SHALL BE GENUINE TEREX-PEGSON LTD MANUFACTURED PARTS. -ONCE MANUFACTURE IS COMPLETE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM STANDARD PRODUCTION TESTS AND INSPECTIONS TO ASSURE MAXIMUM DESIGN PERFORMANCE. -A FINAL INSPECTION REPORT SHALL DEPICT THE FINAL CONDITION OF THE PUMP AFTER ALL WORK AND TESTING HAS BEEN COMPLETED. -PRESERVATION / PACKAGING: EACH PUMP SHALL BE PRESERVED TO PREVENT CORROSION AND PACKAGED IN A PROTECTIVE ENVELOPE USING WATER-VAPOR-PROOF, GREASEPROOF, FLEXIBLE, HEAT SEALABLE BARRIER PAPER IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-PRF-131, CLASS 3. ALL OPEN PORTS SHALL BE SEALED USING WATERPROOF CAPS OR COVERS TO PREVENT THE INTRUSION OF MOISTURE AND OTHER CONTAMINANTS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PLACE FOUR TO FIVE OUNCES OF DESICCANT PACKS CONFORMING TO MIL-D-3464, TYPE 1 INSIDE THE ENVELOPE TO ABSORB MOISTURE DURING STORAGE. -PACKING AND MARKING: EACH UNIT SHALL BE PACKED AND SECURED TO PREVENT MOVEMENT IN IT'S OWN WOODEN BOX WHICH SHALL BE CAPABLE OF PROVIDING ADEQUATE PROTECTION TO THE ITEM DURING MULTIPLE SHIPMENTS. FOB Destination with delivery to USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000, on or before 02/02/09. It is anticipated that a non-competitive sole source purchase order will be issued for these items to: Terex- Pegson or their authorized distributor. It is the Government's belief that only Terex-Pegson and/or their authorized dealers /distributors /repair facilities can furnish the required parts and ensure the proper fit, form and function of all its components. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same in duplicate within 5 days of this announcement. However, other potential sources desiring to furnish other than Terex-Pegson parts are required to submit the following information: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics) or 2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR, FAC 2005-27(OCT 2008) and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and FAR Part 6.302.1. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotations shall include, proposed delivery in days, pricing for item(s) with packing, marking, bar code and shipping included in unit price, the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 333911 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation.
