- Provide professional A/E Services to include: site investigation (architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical), preliminary plan, designed working drawings & specifications, cost estimates, excavation, new drainage materials, demo & rebuild of concrete and asphalt areas, etc. and construction period services for Project # 529-08-107 Site Drainage at this VA Medical Center. Based on the preliminary plan and construction budget, develop working drawings for the demo of existing underground storm drainage piping systems and the design and installation of new underground storm drainage piping systems in areas where the storm drain needs to be replaced, etc. this work includes electrical, plumbing, underground excavation, backfill, and concrete work. Completion time for A/E design is 120 calendar days. The estimated construction range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Only firms with prior experience in the design of similar type projects and those with the professional capacity to complete this type of work will be considered. Those firms determined to be the most highly qualified will be rated on evaluation factors consisting of, but not limited to, team proposed for this project, proposed management plan, previous experience of proposed team, location and facilities of working offices, proposed design approach for this project, project control, estimating effectiveness, adequate resources to complete project. recent specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required, professional capacity to accomplish work, professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to the project, past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry, in terms of cost control, quality of work, compliance with performance schedules, and capability of CADD & other computer applications. The geographical area of consideration is a 50 mile radius of the VAMC Butler, PA 16001. NAICS CODE 541330 applies to this procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Those firms which meet the requirements are invited to submit two (2) completed copies of Standard Form (SF) 330 to the attention of the Contracting Officer no later than Close of Business (4:30 PM), November 12, 2008. This project is subject to the availability of funds.
