- Sources Sought Notice (Market Research) US Army, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting CenterJoint Armaments CommandAMSCC-JML-JA,Picatnny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 Response Date: 10 November 2008 The U.S. ARMY ARDEC Energetics, Warheads & Manufacturing Directorate, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking sources for a technical services contract to repair, perform maintenance, installation and installation support, replacement and refurbishment of equipment, supply parts and material, and technical support for all IPE controls in bldgs 230, 232, 234, 235 and 252 (the 200 area) as necessary. The contractor must familiarize themselves with existing one of a kind explosion proof process equipment consisting of 1 liter, 1.5 gallon, 7.5, 10, and 25 gallon melt kettles, LSGT vacuum loading carts, conditioning oven, shell and tube heat exchangers, Allen Bradley control cabinets, B&P mixer, chilling unit, vacuum systems, hydrostatic drive motor, explosion proof cameras, 10 and 25 liter mixers, lab hoods, explosion proof drying and curing ovens, 8 ton, 35 ton and 50 ton hydraulic presses, rotary presses, as well as all auxiliary equipment. The contractor must also warranty their work. This action requires contractor knowledge of working in the unique explosion proof environments of NEC Class 1 Group D and Class 2 Division 1 Group E, F, and G and familiarity with DAPAM 385-100, NJDEP Regulations, and DAPAM 385-64. Interested firms who feel that they are capable of addressing all of the above requirements are invited to indicate their interest by providing to the U.S. Army a summary of their companys capabilities via specifications, brochures, and/or drawings within the time period specified in this notice.
