- Sources Sought Notice - This potential acquisition is being procured in accordance with PL 92-582 (Brooks A-E Act) as implemented in FAR Subpart 36.6. Architect - Engineering Services are required for various Veterans Affairs Health Care civil projects in the Southwestern Division or assigned to the Little Rock District and outside the primary area of responsibility at the Government's discretion. This sources sought announcement is open to all businesses interests. Firms will be selected for negotiation based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for the required work. The Little Rock District Corps of Engineers intends to award up to one indefinite delivery contracts for general engineering services with anticipated award in January-February 2009. The contract period for the acquisition will be for one base year and four (4) years. Option periods may be exercised at the discretion of the Contracting Officer when the contract amount for the base period or preceding option period has been exhausted or nearly exhausted. It is anticipated that the estimated workload for the base year will be $1,000,000. The cumulative amount of all task orders will not exceed $12,000,000 for award. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541330 with a small business size standard of $4,000,000 average annual receipts over the last 3 fiscal years. If a large business is selected for this contract, it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on that part of the work it plans to subcontract. Professional qualifications. Qualified personnel in the following key disciplines: Architects, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers, Landscape Architects, and CADD Specialists. Specialized experience designing to include medical care facilities, patient areas, clinics, labs, mental health areas, and technical competence: The responding firm must demonstrate experience in medical health care planning and design.
