Description
This requirement is for a 5-year, firm-fixed price, Requirements-type contract for the A/S32A-24 Potable Water Tank Truck, NSN: 2320-00-089-8979 IAW Commercial Item Description (CID) A-A-59103B. The Commercial Item Description (CID) accompanying the Request for Proposal will identify the technical and program requirements for the A-24 Potable Water Truck acquisition. This requirement will consist of one basic period of 12 months and 4 annual options. The best estimated quantities are as follow: Basic year: 5 ea, Option I: 5 ea, Option II: 5 ea, Option III: 5 ea, and Option IV: 5 ea. FAR part 12 procedures will be utilized. The successful offeror shall be required to complete a pre-production unit which shall be subject to the required tests in accordance with the Commercial Item Description prepared for this acquisition. Required tests will be identified in the test procedures and test/inspection report, which the contractor shall prepare for program engineer approval. This requirement will also include data such as technical manuals, etc. The Government will issue delivery orders against the resultant requirements-type contract so as to order the A-24 Potable Water Trucks. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit, and detailed instructions contained in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government will utilize the Performance Price Tradeoff procedures (PPT), and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the "Evaluation Basis for Award" provision in the RFP. This acquisition will be a 100% set-aside for small business. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 10 December 2008.The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
