Description

NSN: 3540-00-344-8642 TRUCK, HAND, STRAPPING COIL: The hand truck is intended for dispensing oscillated wound flat steel strapping coils used for packaging and packing and shall have the following characteristics; 1) The strapping coil hand truck shall be constructed of steel and shall have two rubber wheels not less than 3 inches in diameter, a tool and accessory tray attached to the frame, and one or two handles to facilitate mobility. A pivot wheel may be provided at the option of the manufacturer. 2) The hand truck shall dispense oscillated wound flat steel strapping coils from a reel vertically mounted on the frame. It shall be capable of using coils that are 3 and 6 inch wide with 16 inch inside diameter. 3) The hand truck shall be maneuverable without binding or deformation when loaded with a full coil of strapping. 4) The hand truck shall be capable of dispensing strapping freely with no drag except for that supplied by the restraining means to control tension and overrunning of the coil. 5) An Instruction sheet shall be furnished with each hand truck and a readily visible loading instruction label shall be affixed to the hand truck to show the proper installation of the strapping coil. Unit of issue – EA (One (1) each unit).
