- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 13.106 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required item under RFQ V40540-8291-SS9. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. The Commander Riverine Group One requires the remanufacture of several boat parts due to extensive use during deployments aboard. It is necessary that the brand name Yanmar be purchased as an one for one remanufacture of equipment. Purchasing Yanmar parts guarantees three things, (1) the items requested are compatible to existing equipment and systems currently onboard, (2) maintains the efficiency and proficiency without having to train personnel to use new equipment and (3) ensures our capability to provide continued support to our command and Navy mission. FISC Norfolk intends to purchase on a Sole Source/Brand name basis the following item(s): Mack Boring $ Parts Company, 4500 Northchase Parkway, Wilmington, NC 28405. 0001: Rebuilt, Yanmar Engine, 6LY2A-STP, 440HP Marine Engine, S/N: M57074, QTY 1GP. 0002: Rebuilt, Yanmar Engine, 6Ly2A-STP, 440HP Marine Engine, S/N: M57032, QTY 1GP. 0003: Rebuilt, Yanmar Engine, 6LY2A-STP, 440HP Marine Engine, S/N: M55096. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), the required justification or documentation is attached. Delivery will be no later than 17 November 2008, FOB: DESTINATION.
