- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a solicitation for the acquisition of nine types of Currency Shrink Wrap Films used on the printing presses during currency production. The stock numbers are 1L001936, 1L001937, 1L001938, 1L001970, 1L001973, 1L002022 and 1L002023, 1L002038, 1L002037 are in accordance with BEP Specification SW-5A, dated March 27, 2008. A 100% small business set-aside solicitation is planned. The contract type will be a Requirements contract. Delivery terms are F.O.B. Destination to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 3201 Pennsy Dr, Landover, MD 20785 and Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 9000 Blue Mound Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76131. The period of performance will be for one (1) twelve month base period and four (4) 12-month option years. This procurement will be negotiated and awarded according to the procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 & 15. Offerors will be requested to submit a material sample consisting of two (2) rolls of 1L001936 Currency Bundle Film, two (2) rolls of 1L001937 Currency Brick Film, two (2) rolls of 1L001938 Currency Cash-pak Film. Note: The offerors may submit up to two proposals of cash-pak film (or four rolls). Sample materials shall be delivered to: Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Loading Dock, D Street, between 13th & 14th Sts., SW Washington, DC 20228 Attn: James Mountjoy. The source selection decision will be low price, techincally acceptable. The solicitation will be available on or about November 3, 2008.
