Description
Sources Sought The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gauge what level of interest there might be in the Architect-Engineering community/industry for the scope of work described below. Consequently, the US Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research to gather information and input regarding strategies from interested parties. This is not a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, an Invitation for Bids, a solicitation, or any indication that the Corps of Engineers will contract for the work contained herein. The Government does not intend to award a contract based solely on the submission of this request nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred as a result of this announcement. Offerors having the skills, experience and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirement are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. The United States Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District is looking for Architect/Engineer firms that are certified under the following programs: SDVOSB, SDB, and small business approved under NAICS Code 541330. The work will consist of performing comprehensive Architectural and Engineer Survey, Design, Engineering, Investigative and Ecosystem Restoration services in support of the Civil Works Program and The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Architectural and Engineering services will include all disciplines including but not be limited to Structural, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Hydrological, Environmental and Civil/Site Development. Engineering design and architectural design services will be applicable to miscellaneous civil works projects such as levees, portions of locks and dams, gate well drainage structures, storm water/wastewater design, levees, roads, railroad closure structures, buildings and grounds and other flood damage reduction, navigation, hurricane protection, shoreline protection and ecosystem restoration projects. Projects in support of The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) may include upgrading aging infrastructure including asbestos abatement and the design of military/veteran medical facilities nationwide. These engineering services will include all aspects of design, analysis, research, preparation and finalization of engineering reports and designs, contract drawings and specifications, and cost estimates. Firms must have a full range of capability for these types of services. Place of performance is within the continental United States. This announcement constitutes a sources sought/market research synopsis and will close on November 24, 2008.
