Description

The NIH is doing a market survey to determine the availability of businesses interested in furnishing white, multipurpose copier paper on an as-needed basis. The paper numbers and estimated annual quantities are as follows: Paper, Copying, 8 1/2 x 11", NSN: 7530-01-335-2623, 30,062 cases; Paper, 2 Hole Top Drilled, 8 1/2 x 11", NSN: 7530-00-L07-2793, 2,247 cases; Paper, Copying, 8 1/2 x 14", NSN: 7530-00-224-6754, 579 cases; and Paper, 3 Hole Drilled, 8 1/2 x 11", NSN: 7530-01-033-8891, 379 boxes. The salient characteristics for each type of paper are attached. The anticipated period of performance for the contract is a base twelve month period, plus two (2) twelve month option periods for a total not to exceed period of thirty six months. The following is a summary of all the information that must be provided by each vendor. The Government will not review any package that does not contain all of the following information: 1. Detailed capability statement describing your company's experience in providing these types of paper to other large organizations. Include in this description an explanation as to how delivery problems are handled, i.e., late deliveries and whether or not you can handle requests for expedited deliveries. 2. A list of 3 references, including names of organizations to whom you have provided paper in the past, contact names, telephone numbers, approximate dollar value of the purchase orders or contracts and period of performance for the contract/order. 3. Address all of your applicable business size representations. The intended procurement will be classified under NAICS Code 422120 and the size standard is 500 employees. This market survey is being conducted through the FedBizOpps to reach the widest possible audience and to gather current market information. Responding firms should provide two (2) copies of their tailored capability statement to the Office of Acquisition at the address provided no later than November 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
