- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a delivery order against a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-06-G-0001with Bell Helicopter Textron, Ft. Worth Texas for multiple Engineering Change Proposals(ECPs) as follows: H1-UPG-0006(0567) -Power Inverter and DECU Overspeed Interfacing Circuit Improvement. The Government has a need to improve on the power turbine overspeed protection while safeguarding the operability of the 400Hz power inverter in the event of a DECU power supply failure. This change will involve the replacement of two circuit breakers for both the UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft in production, retrofit and associated trainers. The government requires that all existing Government Documents be reviewed and updated reflecting the changes incurred from the circuit improvement. H1-580 - System Configuration Set(SCS) 5.0 Incorporation. The Government has a need to integrate IFF Mode 5 with the AN/APX-123 to increase security and prevent fratricide/increase Situational Awareness in the field. This change will also integrate Brite Star Blocks I/II improving battlefield effectiveness.This change involves both the UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft This change will involve updated Mission Computer Softwareand Firmware loads and Flight Control Computer (FCC) software load. Technical Directives shall be created to support incorporation into production aircraft and all Technical Manual data shall be updated. H1-0560A - APU Tail Pipe Reorientation. The Government has a need to reconfigure the APU Tail Pipe to prevent a compressor stall problem during starting of the UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft. The government requires that all existing Government Documents be reviewed and updated reflecting the changes incurred from the reorientation of the APU Tailpipe. H1-AAR-47 T/B Bonding Strap Improvement. The government has aneed to revise the bonding strap in order to prevent damage to the AAR-47 and surrounding components when the current bonding strap breaks at the attachment point. This change will involve a revision of the bonding strap from a "flat" sheet to a cable assembly for UH-1Y forward locations and the AH-1Z aft locations. The government requires that all existing Government Documents be reviewed and updated reflecting the changes incurred from this change and include revisied views to reflect as built configuration for the AH-1Z forward locations.
