Description
The US Joint Munitions & Lethality Army Contracting Command(JM&L LCMC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking potential sources to provide teaching, mentoring, and technical support to the newer Armament Research, Development & Engineering Center (ARDEC) employees as well as senior ARDEC employees who are not experts in the field of Small Caliber Ammunition. Provide assistance in Small Caliber Ammunition efforts, Research and Development of Small Caliber Ammunition Efforts and evaluation of Small Caliber Ammunition Proposals. Interested sources shall provide evidence of technical expertise which consists of the following abilities: Evaluating proposals, development of new concepts, trouble shooting of production problems, provide technical assistance in monitoring of ongoing and future product improvement and development programs. Respondents must demonstrate that they have hands on experience in the initial concept prototyping concept design, development and implementation of the modernized production lines at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP)in particular the Small Caliber Ammunition Modernization Program (SCAMP) lines that are uniquely designed around rotary turrets operating at 1,200 parts per minute. This announcement is for informational planning purposes only, and is not a Request For Proposal. Interested companies are requested to submit a capabilities statement of 25 pages via e-mail by 28 Nov 2008 to jennifer.rockefeller@pica.army.mil. Interested firms should also provide their address, point-of-contact with telephone number and e-mail address, and size of business (small/large). The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
