- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract on a sole source basis with Raytheon, Goleta, CA. This effort will include all labor and materials required to retrofit IMPLCs to incorporate the ALE-55 Compatibility Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). This effort will include one (1) base year plus four (4) option years to be structured as follows: FY09Base Year requirement for retrofit of approximately 77 USN IMPLCs and 12 RAAF IMPLCs. FY10Options for retrofit of approximately 205 USN IMPLCs and 15 RAAF IMPLCs. FY11Option for retrofit of approximately 194 USN IMPLCs. FY12Options for retrofit of approximately 104 USN IMPLCs and 75 USAF IMPLCs. FY13Option for retrofit of approximately 100 USAF IMPLCs. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to Raytheon in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements;” because they are the only qualified source which possesses the detailed knowledge of the IMPLC design to allow them to perform these efforts in a timely and cost effective manner.
