Description
The Federal Aviation Administration is anticipating a requirement to construct a Parking Pad for 737 & 747 Aircrafts at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, located at the Atlantic City International Airport in NJ. The project will include providing labor, materials and equipment for the installation of a concrete pad addition to the Fire Test Facility at Building 311 in the Airport Operation Area. The new concrete pad will be large enough to park the 747 and 737 aircraft in order to accomplish desired testing. The project also includes site work and grading, including storm water catch basins around the new facility addition to satisfy the new Federal standards enacted by the Clean Water Act. An Oil/Water separator must be installed in the new concrete pad to satisfy Pinelands Commission and Clean Water Act requirements. Also, electrical upgrades to the facility to provide site lighting along with power for the aircraft to run their electrical systems will be required. The offer range is between $800,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 with a performance time of approximately 180 days. Construction start date is anticipated to be sometime in winter 2009. This procurement is a small business set aside. The NAICS code for this effort is 237310. A mandatory site visit will take place on Tuesday November 25, 2008 at 2 PM. If you would like to attend the site visit, please submit a request in writing, via email, to the Contracting Officer. The request must include the company name, a point of contact and telephone number. Submit this letter to Lori.McLaughlin@faa.gov no later than Friday November 21, 2008. Drawings and the Statement of Work will be distributed at the site visit. Companies who do not attend the site visit will not be permitted to submit a proposal for this project. This announcement does not obligate the government in any way whatsoever to award or to initiate competition for award of the anticipated effort.
