This is a sole source action directed to Microavionics Corporation in Costa Mesa, California in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Dehydrator-Timer Sequential-Solid State Controller Assembly provides timing control and fault monitoring for the AN/TQP-37(V)8 FIREFINDER Radar Systems dehydrator system. It provides timing control for the two dehydrator heaters and the two valves for the radars cooling system. Microavionics is the designer and sole producer of the required item. Microavionics maintains the Source Control Drawing, and developed and owns the technical data, special tooling and test equipment that are required for production and repair of the Dehydrator-Timer Sequential-Solid State Controller Assembly. The Government only possesses a broad performance specification which is insufficiently detailed to enable competition for the proposed action. The Government does not have the systems available to provide as Government Furnished Equipment. The Government requires deliveries within 60 days after award of a Delivery Order/Task Order. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes only and is not to be considered a request for proposal; however, all responsible sources that meet the above requirements may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated posting date for the solicitation, W15P7T-09-R-M018, is 25 November 2008 with closure 15 days after. Award is anticipated to be issued on or about 6 March 2009.
