- This is a sources sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes only. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for information solicited. The Government will utilize the information provided only to develop the acquisition strategy for future requirements. The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, is seeking possible sources of supply for the acquisition of bulk chemicals to be delivered to the Yuma Desalting Plant in Yuma, Arizona. The following is a list of the chemicals Liquid Chlorine, delivered in ten 1-ton containers or 20-ton tanker truck trailers; Hydrated Lime, Bagged Hydrated Lime, Pebble Lime, delivered in 50 lb bags, by truck with pneumatic unloading capabilities with blower (25 tons maximum per delivery) hydrated lime shall be high calcium, greater than 91% as calcium hydroxide, insoluble matter shall be 3% or less, 80% of the hydrated lime shall pass through a 200 mesh sieve, the quicklime shall be pebble size with a maximum size of ", it shall be a high calcium, quick slaking type, the available CaO shall be 90% or better; Liquid Ferric Sulfate, shall be a minimum of 50 percent, by weight, ferric sulfate, delivered by truck (25 ton maximum per delivery); Sulfuric Acid, shall be 66 Baume, 93 percent or greater as hy7drogen sulfate, delivered by truck (50 tons maximum per delivery); Anhydrous Ammonia, delivered in 150 lb cylinders or 2-ton nurse tanks; Sodium Hypochlorite, 12.5 Trade %, shall have 12 to 16 percent available chlorine, shall be a clear liquid containing not more than 0.15 percent insoluble material by weight, delivered in 55 gallon drums; Ammonium Sulfate, delivered in 50 lb bags; Sodium Bicarbonate, shall be a white granular solid, greater than 98% purity, delivered in 50 lb bags; Sodium Hexametaphosphate, will be in granular (fine), form, technical grade, delivered by truck with pneumatic unloading capabilities with blower (25 tons maximum per delivery); Sodium Bisulfite, Liquid, 40%, will contain a minimum of 38% sodium bisulfite, delivered by truck in 275 gallon containers as required. All deliveries subject to Government request within 72 hour notice. The Contracting Officer is contemplating issuing multiple 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contracts. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 424690, Other Chemical and Allied Products Merchant Wholesalers, small business size standard is 100 employees. Packages should include the following information: 1) Capability Statement, 2) Provide business name, address, 3) Business size and type (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and 4) Point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number.
