- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to contract for Consolidated Facilities Management Services at the Mid-Atlantic Social Security Center (MATSSC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The contractor shall provide management, supervision, work-power, equipment, administrative and technical functions in the following categories: 1) Operations and Maintenance of Building and Mechanical Equipment, 2) Elevator Maintenance, 3) Utilities Services, 4) Custodial and Related Services, 5) Armed Security Service, 6) Uninterruptible Power Supply System Maintenance, 7) Operations and Maintenance of Building Automation System (Energy Management and Life Safety, and 8) Sustaining Maintenance. The MATSSC is a 9 story, approximately 570,585 square-foot facility that houses approximately 2,000 employees. This notice serves as a Sources Sought Synopsis seeking information from SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS which may be capable of providing these services. Information received from other than small business sources will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561210. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $35.5M. Interested SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS that believe they have the ability to perform these services can identify their capability to Denita Patterson, Contracting Officer, by submitting the information on two (2) compact discs (CDs), to Social Security Administration, Attn: Denita Patterson, Office of Acquisitions and Grants, 1st Floor - Rear Entrance, 7111 Security Blvd, Baltimore, Maryland 21244-1811 (If hand-carried, please NOTE: This address is NOT on the main Social Security HQ complex, but approximately 2 miles west, up Security Blvd). Each CD must include a capability statement, management chart and breakdown of the company and a statement of financial resources which clearly and decisively indicate that the company can perform these services successfully. The company shall also provide the name, address and telephone number of any and all references where services of similar size, scope and complexity are currently being provided or where they have been provided within the last 5 years. In addition to the CDs, firms are required to submit one (1) hard copy of each of these documents. Responses must be received no later than 3 p.m., EST on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. This is neither a Request For Proposal (RFP) nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not any small business firms have the ability and capability to perform these services successfully
