Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a single award to a responsible entity for the provision of Nuclear Medicine Technical Services for the Federal Inmates at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners located in Springfield, Missouri. The contractor of this service will provide a broad range of technical services for a full range of nuclear medicine procedures, including, but not restricted to the following: IE Bone Scans (whole body, 3-phase, white blood cell), Liver/Spleen, Renal scans, Muga, Thalium Stress, Galium Scans, and Thyroid Scans. Additionally, the contractor must perform any quality control measures to maintain proper quality of the camera, IE, Flood Tests, etc. on an ongoing basis. The contractor will provide the technical services of a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and furnish all radio nuclides needed to perform exams. The contractor must be licensed to transport, handle and dispose of all radio contaminated materials. The contractor must have a current license in use, administration and control of all radio nuclides. The technologist must be qualified by appropriate credentials or equivalent training and experience, in accordance with NRC regulations. Routine services will be provided one day per week, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one or two days provided for scheduling. All other exams through the week would be on an emergency, or STAT basis only. This is an indefinite delivery requirements type contract with a firm fixed price. The solicitation is unrestricted, FOB Destination. The contract performance period shall consist of a 12 month base period and four 12 month options for renewal. The Government will award to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about November 24, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about December 8, 2008. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Per 52.212-3, an offeror may complete their representations and certifications via the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. If not completed online, a hard copy is mandatory. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts.
