Description
Indefinite Delivery Contracts for Multi-Discipline AE Services in Support of the Baltimore District Corps of Engineers and can be used through out the North Atlantic Division Q & A For Information only 1.Are the 'Certified Professional Estimator' and 'Certified Cost Engineer' terms from the Tri-Services Cost Engineering Certification Program that is limited to Tri-Service Government employees only? If not then what certification programs are they part of? Answer: Yes, the 'Certified Professional Estimator' and 'Certified Cost Engineer' terms are from the Tri-Services Cost Engineering Certification Program that is limited to Tri-Service Government employees only. 2.Would you be so kind as to provide us with a definition of a hydrographic engineer? I'm not quite sure what the District is looking for in that selection criteria. Answer: the reference should be to 'Hydrologic Engineering',not 'Hydrographic Engineering'.Yes, we should have referred to 'hydrologic engineering'. 3.Paragraph 5.B(1) of the referenced announcement indicates that firms shall have a licensed Professional Engineer in Hydrographic Engineering. This is not a common engineering discipline. Please clarify the expected qualifications and typical responsibilities of a Hydrographic Engineer. We are interested in understanding the District's expections with respect to hydrographic engineering vs hydrographic surveying in the context of the solicitation. Alternately by hydrographic engineering, is the district potentially referencing hydrologic engineering? We are accustomed to providing hydraulic and hydrologic (H&H) engineering services to USACE. Answer: The reference to 'Hydrographic Engineering' in section 5.B.(1) of the announcement should be 'Hydrologic Engineering'.
