**********SEND ALL INFORMATION INCLUDING QUOTES AND TECHNICAL QUESTIONS TO JUDITHDRABKIN AT Judith.R.Drabkin@nasa.gov; FAX: 256-544-4401*****************This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for an Extreme UltravioletSystem. The Solar Physics Branch/VP62 and the Optics Fabrication Group/ES31 aredeveloping an Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) facility to test space borne telescopes that willmake measurements in the Extreme Ultraviolet region of the wavelength spectrum. Therefore, a source must be obtained that will cover a broad range of EUV wavelengths andwill interface both mechanically and electrically to the existing Stray Light Facility atMarshall Space Flight Center. Along with covering the EUV wavelength band, the systemmust be able to select narrow wavelength bands by inserting filters and using differentgases that will produce different emission lines.Please see the detailed specifiations for this requirement in the attachment to thissolicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.Delivery to Shipping and Receiving Bldg 4631, MSFC, AL35812.Delivery shall be FOBDestination, MSFC, AL.Delivery date TBD on acceptance of award.Offers for the items(s) described above are due by 4:30 p.m. CST on November 24, 2008 toJudith Drabkin at Judith.R.Drabkin@nasa.gov; FAX: 256-544-4401, and must include,solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule,discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number(TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorizedcompany representative. Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (JUNE 2008), Instructionsto Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporated by reference. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in theclause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall listthe country of origin.FAR 52.212-4 (OCT 2008), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items is applicable.
