Description
This notice is to invite industry to participate in a Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 5A, Advanced Development Office for Undersea Systems, Industry Day to communicate capability development objectives for its Advanced Processing Build (APB) FY11 (APB-11) program. APB develops software applications to improve non-weapon submarine combat system capabilities in relevant tactical scenarios. The industry day will be held on Thursday, 11 December 2008 at Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors in Manassas, VA from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m. A list of discussion topics is provided below. The industry day will include briefs classified at the SECRET level which requires each participant to submit a security clearance prior to the meeting. Parties interested in attending should request a registration package (which will include directions for submission of the security clearances) by e-mailing Meghan.Pituch@StanleyAssociates.com ! with the subject APB-11 INDUSTRY DAY REGISTRATION REQUEST. Registration will be open through 4 December 2008. Shortly after this Industry Day, the Naval Sea Systems Command is planning to issue a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for contractors to propose their participation in specific APB areas. The BAA will employ a two step process of White Paper review followed by technical and/or cost proposals for selected candidates. The tentative agenda for the industry day includes: Morning Session Focus on Potential New APB Participants - Introduction (Meeting logistics, APB-11 Schedule, White Paper Process, APB Organization and leadership); APB Process Primer (Stakeholders, Requirements and approval processes, The 4-STEP process including WSTA and ROI, Samples of acceptable and non-acceptable Step 1 and 2 products, Our axioms and business philosophy, Contracting, data rights and IP considerations); APB-07/09 Marquee Capabilities; Afternoon Session For Experienced an! d Potential New Participants - APB-11 (APB-11 Schedule, Tactical Scenario, Top Level Capability ROI Objectives, Capability Focus Areas, Passive Signal Processing, Active Signal Processing, Automation, Trackers, Displays and Information Management); Revisit White Paper Process; Closing Remarks/Questions. Please Note that since this event includes classified briefings, no notes may be taken. Copies of the briefs may be provided to attendees under a separate mailing.
