- Description
- This is a synopsis notice, and not a request for proposals. The Detroit District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be soliciting a construction project that shall include, but not be limited to the substantial demolition and renovating existing spaces in Building 111, Wing A, North, 2nd Floor, of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. The project involves construction of a new Operating Suite consisting of (5) sizable surgical operating rooms, an establishment of a sterile supply core, upgrading the surgical suite to state of the Art methods of surgical care with respect to patient flow, infection control, materials flow, and support spaces. The work will be completed in various phases to keep some of the existing operating rooms in service at all times until construction of the new suite is completed. The estimated construction cost is between $5M and $10M. The contract will have one twelve-month duration. The estimated award date of the contract is February 2009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, which has a size standard of $33.5M in average annual receipts over the past three years.
