Description
PM IED Defeat/Protect Force is seeking sources for the production of a non-developmental commercial roller attachment for military vehicles that can integrate Improvised Explosive Device Defeat technologies. Roller would be used to detonate and neutralize buried pressure-fused mines and other explosive devices. Attachment would be integrated with light and medium wheeled vehicles. Interested respondents should include information that demonstrates their ability to meet the following requirements: 1.) Must be a non-developmental commercial roller attachment that can be used for military vehicles that incorporates the following characteristics into the design: approximate width of a RG33 MRAP, blast frangibility and dampening capable, maximum front road coverage, capable of quick disconnect, able to negotiate rough terrain, and modular replacement. 2.) Must be able to maintain a consistent delivery schedule throughout production. 3.) Must have a quality control process in place. 4.) Must have the ability in-house or sub-contracted, to package the units for air freight travel. 5.) Must have a Spare Parts Package that is comprised of all the necessary parts to sustain and repair at least 25 ea rollers. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP).It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
