Description
DITCO-EUROPE, Unit 4235, Box 375, APO AE 09136-5375 intends to award a sole source contract to British Telecom, United Kingdom for personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items and services necessary to engineer, furnish, install, test, and maintain (EFIT&M) manhole duct system, fiber optic, copper and coax cables, fiber and copper patch panels, and broadband cable systems ("cable plant"), and equipment at Royal Air Force (RAF) locations listed below. The Contractor shall also provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items and services necessary to EFIT&M all facilities with existing internal CAT5e cabling. RAF sites include, but are not limited to RAF Lakenheath, Brandon, Suffolk; RAF Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk; RAF Feltwell, Thetford, Norfolk; RAF Croughton, near Brackley, Northamptonshire, RAF Alconbury, Cambridgeshire; RAF Molesworth, Cambridgeshire; RAF Upwood, Cambridgeshire: RAF Fairford, near Fairford, Gloucestershire; RAF Welford, Gloucestershire; RAF Menwith Hill, North Yorkshire; and any other location in the United Kingdom (UK) deemed necessary in support of the United States Air Force communications infrastructures at the locations specified. Period of performance is one base year from date of award and four (4) one-year options. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinte Quantity (ID/IQ). NAICS code 237130 applies. The solicitation/Request For Proposal (RFP) number is HC1021-08-R-2004.
