- Non-personal services. The contractor shall provide all personnel, services, materials, and transportation necessary to perform maintenance, monitoring, and repair services for the security components associated with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville Center (CEHNC) facility located at 4820 University Square and associated offsite suites located at 4801 University Square, Huntsville, AL as needed. The contractor shall provide monitoring services 24 hours each day, seven days per week, including federal holidays. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 561621 is applicable to this acquisition. Contract award will be made on a Best Value basis. Award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract will be made. Services will be solicited and awarded as a Commercial Item using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed award will consist of one base period of performance (01 JAN 09 through 31 DEC 09) and up to four option periods of performance. The entire solicitation package will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website and the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Requests for copies of the solicitation package by any other means will not be honored. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps and ASFI websites for the solicitation package and any subsequent solicitation amendments. The RFQ will be issued on or about 09 December 2008. An on-site will be held on or around 12 December 2008. Vendors interested in attending must convey attendance and number of indivudals attending in writing to one of the POCs listed below no later than 08 December 2008. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Contractors are encouraged to obtain further information on CCR registration at the following website: http://www.ccr.gov/ and to register as an interested vendor. This announcement does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
