- Description
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service(FWS) is soliciting bids for the design, fabrication, and construction/supply of a 50 foot x 60 foot, pre-engineered metal hangar building. The building will be located at the McGrath, Alaska Airport in the exact location of the current FWS tent hangar. The work includes providing all design services for the structure and foundation and the supply of all materials for the construction of the hangar INCLUDING doors, windows, concrete, re-bar, foundation bolts as is necessary to completely construct the structure delivered to the project site in McGrath, Alaska. Assembly and physical installation of the structure once delivered shall be the responsibility of the Government utilizing Government labor following delivery to the site. The contractor will be required to fully design, construct, disassemble, and then deliver all required items to the Innoko National Wildlife Refuge Hangar location at the McGrath, Alaska Airport. The bid package may include several additive bid items beyond the base bid item with regard to soils and foundation preparation, heating fuel drum design and supply, electrical design and installation, etc., however any additive bid items will be fully disclosed within the solicitation package once issued and take precedence over this synopsis. This procurement will be a sealed bid opportunity and the government intends to evaluate bids responding to the issued solicitation considering only price and price related factors. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 USD. This is a full and open competitive solicitation with NAISC code 238990. Vendors who are not determined small businesses may be required to submit a small business sub-contracting plan as required within the solicitation. The product service code for this requirement is Y129 which ahs a small business size standard of 500 employees. Solicitation is anticipated for issuance on or about November 19, 2008 with a response date of January 8, 2008. Specific due date for the submission of bids will be outlined within the pending solicitation and specific items within the issued solicitation will take precedence over this announcement. The resultant award will be dependant upon the successful bidder being fully registered at www.ccr.gov. It will be the successful vendors full responsibility to obtain registration prior to contract award and therefore vendors who wish to submit bids in response to the pending solicitation are strongly encouraged to register as early as possible to prevent delays in contract award. This procurement will have a firm period of performance completion requirement of no later than September 30, 2009. See numbered notes 13 and 26.
