- Design/Build: This project is to furnish all labor, material, equipment, supplies, and facilities necessary for the Design and Construction of the Lakefront (NEW), MALSR at the Lakefront Airport, New Orleans, Louisiana. The overall project consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1.Remove the debris created by the previous MALSR system from the bottom of the lake;2.Repair and/or replace the missing piles extending 2100 feet into Lake Pontchartrain;3.Replace galvanized steel channel pile caps;4.Replace galvanized steel stringer using new galvanized steel "W" sections;5.Replace galvanized steel cross bracing and miscellaneous hardware;6.Install a new 6'-0" wide fiber glass deck with 36" handrails;7.Install heavy duty (schedule 80) UV resistant polypropylene conducts for the electrical installations. Performance Time: 365 Calendar Days Estimated Cost: Under $1.75 - $2.5 million NACI: 237990 size Standards: $33.5 Million This is a FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION project. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
